Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if there are any plans for integration with the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite? I’ve noticed this model is becoming increasingly popular, so I think it would be a really useful addition.

Does anyone have any information about this? Or perhaps you’re using this watch and would also like to see such functionality implemented?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Best regards

Hi @Marcin_Michal_Domini, Redmi Watch 5 Lite cannot be integrated directly (the platform is closed).
The only way we can support Xiaomi wearables without the public-facing API is via one of the companion apps. Does the “test sensor” in Notify for Xiaomi show real-time progress?

If yes, the wearable can be used with the Sleep app.

Yes, the basic sensor functions work via the companion app (heart rate, steps tracking), but there’s no way to set up alarm notifications - I mean the smartwatch doesn’t vibrate when Sleep as Android alarm goes off, which is actually one of the key features I was hoping to use.

Is there any chance this could be implemented in the future? Having the watch vibrate for alarms would make for a much better wake-up experience.

Does the movement sensor send data (not step count, but movement of the wearable from the accelerometer)?

Great suggestion! Integration with the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 5 Lite would definitely be a valuable addition, given its growing popularity. Let’s hope this is on the roadmap!

So we can only hope public-facing API is on the roadmap of Xiaomi.

Hi @lenka-urbandroid , I’ve tested the Notify app and it only shows the first few miliseconds of X Y and Z data.

I’m not sure why but it seems to be accurate… When I lift my arm up and start the test, the pattern is different of that when I move my arm down while starting the test.

Let me know what information you need to make this work I would highly appreciate it

Hi @Joaco_Remis, we rely on the data from Notify completely. If the Notify app only has a few seconds, the Sleep app will also have only few seconds.
Does it mean the test stops or show some error message?

It just stops until I restart it… what watch should I get for seamless integration? I bought the app since it really helped me with the accelerometer on the phone, data is a bit off with sonar it seems, Galaxy s22

Could the Notify app have troubles running on the background? If it has the data from the sensor for a while, there should be no reason to get cut off.

Our favorite watch at the moment is TicWatch 5 PRO (currently in the really big sale).
