It would be nice to be able to use this app on a De-Googled phone.
And it’s still possible to fund the developers, without the Play Store.
Check out Cryptomator and FairEmail to see how they accommodate this. They give you license files after paying. Download APK from your site, paste in the license, gets verified, and you’re good to go.

I have FairPhone 4 with Murena OS and I love it. I miss Sleep app which I had purchased on my old phone.
Couldn’t you just transfer or download the APK?
