“Sleep hygiene” advice often includes getting out of bed and doing something like reading a book if you don’t fall asleep within, say, 30 minutes.
When I do that the time is currently recorded as sleeping and the next morning I edit the record to show the time as “awake”. I’m okay with this, but it has an impact on my efficiency metric. I’m trying to decide how I feel about this. On the one hand, I do wish I were asleep so it’s much like lying in bed and staring at the ceiling. On the other hand, I am out of bed and not really expecting sleep to come.
Any advice on this question? Is there even a way to record a period when I’m out of bed after tracking starts?
