I have a situation that I’m not sure about with tags.
I usually take a nap during the day in addition to my main sleep period. I want to know how taking a nap affects my main sleep period. If I use the tags section to look at sleep duration/rating/etc., I assume the tag I add to my naps (#nap) will only give me the stats of the naps, not that day’s sleep period. Is that correct? Is there a way to investigate this without going back and adding a new tag to all of my main sleeps adjacent to a nap?
Thank you!
Hi @accmecca, the tags chart works with the added tags, so this will only work if you added some tag to your naps. Is there anything that links the naps (like the sensor used, or any other aspect that is automatically tagged)?
Yes, I tag every nap with #nap.
Perfect, then in the Chart section on the Tag tab, you should see the #nap tag filtered.
Is there any tag that belongs only to the main sleep of the day?
No, there is not currently a tag that only is on the main sleep period.
So, you would ideally need a comparison between #tag and not#tag, right?
So it would compare all entries with the taga and all entries without this tag…
May I use this for our suggestion forum, please?
Not exactly. I am trying to figure out how the naps affect the sleep afterwards, so I would have to have a distinction between main sleeps on days with naps, and main sleeps without naps. ![]()
Is there a way to select multiple sleeps on the Graphs section so they can all be tagged at once? That would be a very helpful feature.
Thank you for your help.
Well, this is tricky - so it needs a tag for all graphs that are followed by a nap.
This would probably need to be solved by adding a special tag to the graphs without nap, or the graphs with nap.
Tags can be edited (all tags will be updated), but the graphs (=sleep entries) currently do not allow bulk edits. I am sorry for the limitation.
