Spotify authorization not happening

Everytime I try to connect to Sleep app to Spotify, it says “connecting to Spotify” and takes to browser. There I can see the link for Spotify authorization in search bar which means it’s doing its job but nothing happens further. I am stuck on a blank screen with just that link. Reload doesnt work, my network is fine and also tried switching to desktop mode to see if it loads but no difference. Attaching a screenshot of the same for reference. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!

I experience the same issue, an answer from support would be appreciated.

Hello, which version of Sleep app and Spotify are you using?
If the process of authentication gets stuck on the Spotify screen, it means that the Spotify server is not responding to the request.

If you’re using a modified version of spotify, authorization won’t work, so it only works if you use play store version.

If you’re having trouble with Spotify authorization, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check Credentials

  • Make sure you are using the correct username and password. Double-check for any typos or errors.
  • If you forgot your credentials, reset your password via the Spotify website or app.

2. Clear Cache and Cookies (Browser Issues)

  • If you’re trying to log in through a web browser, clearing the cache and cookies can help resolve authentication issues.
  • In Chrome, for example, go to the menu (three dots) > “More tools” > “Clear browsing data” > Select “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files.”

3. Try a Different Browser or Device

  • Sometimes the issue could be browser-related. Try using a different browser or device to see if the problem persists.

4. Disable VPN or Proxy

  • If you’re using a VPN or proxy, it might be interfering with the authorization process. Disable it temporarily and try logging in again.

5. Check Spotify’s Server Status

  • Sometimes Spotify might be experiencing downtime or server issues. Visit Spotify’s status page to see if there are any ongoing outages.

6. Reinstall the App

  • If you’re using the Spotify app on a phone or desktop, uninstall and reinstall the app to see if it resolves the issue.

7. Enable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

  • If your account has two-factor authentication enabled, make sure you’re correctly entering the code sent to your device. Verify that your phone number or authentication app is working properly.

8. Check for Third-Party App Conflicts

  • If you’ve connected third-party apps or devices to your Spotify account (e.g., smart speakers, home automation systems), disconnecting them temporarily can help identify if they’re causing the issue.

9. Account Suspension or Lock

  • If there has been suspicious activity on your account, Spotify may have temporarily locked it. You should have received an email from Spotify regarding the issue. You can contact Spotify support to resolve it.

10. Check for Spotify Updates

  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Spotify app. If not, update it and try again.

If none of these steps work, it may be helpful to contact Spotify’s support team for further assistance. Let me know if you’d like help with any specific troubleshooting steps!
