My sonar suddenly stopped working. I got a notice telling me my device doesn’t support sonar, but it always has. It’s there a setting that may have gotten changed? I have a Samsung phone.
Hi @Liz_Parker, sonar signal can be distorted by some post-processing features, typically some sound-enhancing ones, like Adaptive Sound, Dolby, Booster, Equalizer, Sound profiles…
Check the Sound section and the Accessibility section in the system settings.
Also make sure the DND is not active, it can mute the media sound stream.
I have a phone that does not support sonar either. I settled for the accelerameter until the app built sonar into the app. You may want to check the settings in the app to be sure it’s turned on,

Hi @nanciewanda, the app already has the sonar built in. But not all phones are capable of producing a sonar signal strong enough to read your movements. Try disabling all the sound-enhancing features, they are the usual reason why sonar is not working.
