Detailed description of the problem:
Hello, i enabled sound recognition and my recording works well but it’s not tagging the tracks automatically. I think the application recognize the sound, like snoring, because sometimes it ask me if it’s a mismatch and propose to share when there is actually snoring. So I just put the tag myself but that’s a bit boring to do it for every recording. (Snore detection is on high sensitivity)
Thanks

Hi @CookSavon, may I ask for more details, please?
Are none of the sound records marked with the tags, or some are, but not all of them? Is the phone covered during the tracking? Does it have a case? Is it closed enough? Are there any sources of noise (like white noise) in the environment?
None of the sound have tags, my phone isn’t covered but has a case. However the sound is pretty clear in the recordings. There is noise but it’s not coming from the environment, just natural noise from the microphone which is not predominant over the sounds i make while sleeping.
Mic input is set to default with a recording sensitivity of 25%.
Is there any sound-enhancing feature that could alter the input data from the mic? They are usually located either in the Sound section or the Accessibility section in the system settings.
Is the app having troubles recognize even talking during testing?
No audio enhancement or anything like that. Also I just tested, with talk sensitivity on highest the app recognise talking when i speak as loud as a daily conversation which isn’t working when i speak quieter, even though i can clearly hear myself in those conditions. Maybe the white noise in background mess a bit with the recognition?
That’s kinda weird cause sometimes i’m literally snoring in the mic lmao and it doesn’t tag it
Could the white noise come from a different device for a test during the night?
The white noise sound may “conceal” the data typical for snoring sound class.
I don’t think it come from another device, i just tried in another room with airplane mode, no wifi or Bluetooth and it still the same white noise.
Here is a recording from last night, it activated because i got a notification, we can hear the white noise.
The problem is probably on my side, I have no idea
What is the phone model and the Android version? Could you please also send the logs from the Left ≡ menu → (?) Support → Report a bug to our support line? Ideally, in the morning when you finish your sleep tracking session.
Google Pixel 7, Android 16. I’ll get back to you tomorrow with the logs
Thanks a lot
