The new one is just worse. The graphic itself looks less cute and more generic. I also dislike the way there’s a pause every time you tap on a sheep to throw a spotlight on it and a little animation plays showing the sheep waking up. I’ve been using this alarm for years, please let there be an option for the old version.

Hi @Snuzzle, the old Sheep version is available under “Sleeping sheep Legacy” name in the CAPTCHA addon.
The fixed version without the long delays is available either on the Play Store, or at our download page.
Hi, I also hate the new sheep captcha, it’s worse in every way. I can barely do it when I’m fully awake, it’s very stressfull.
Can you please provide details instructions on how to restore the legacy sleeping sheep. I don’t see any option for that, either under main-settings-addons, or in the alarm settings.
My Main captcha is the barcode, the sleeping sheep is the alternative.

Hello, the fallback solution is not configurable. Configurable fallback is not reliable enough and leads to too many issues.
If the task is too fast, you are still using the old version. The difficulty level of the fallback solution is controlled by the difficulty level set for the QR CAPTCHA, so you can lower the difficulty level to the easiest one, which is quite slow. Which difficulty level are you using at the moment? And how does the task look like?
This is the pace of the fallback task on the very simple level of difficulty. Is it slow enough?
We need to keep the task little annoying, so you won’t choose this task over scanning the code, and only use it when absolutely necessary.

I will wait for the update to show on play store. The legacy captcha was working well for me. I guess I will try to retrain my brain.
The version from today will probably be available in day or two, but the 20250606 fix should be available any time soon.
