Pair tracking - Sleep as Android

Helps you to get a cleaner record of your sleep phases by combining the measurements from your and your partner’s phone, using any combination of sensors.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://sleep.urbandroid.org/docs/sleep/pair_tracking.html

I have two observations on this point, the first is what happens when an animal sleeps in the room, in my case a dog, which can also get on or off the bed randomly as well as emit sounds. the second is the TV or audiobooks.

I also am very concerned about how having an audiobook or podcast, constantly playing, 24/7, will affect this app. Will the constant audio make using this app nearly useless or just certain data points with the others still accurate? Very curious and would like an answer before i buy a new smart watch…

Hi @Evan_Luke_Mentzer, the awake detection might get confused (especially if you play a podcast with talking, the app may assume you are awake), but you can prevent this by fine-tuning the awake detection in your settings (Settings > Sleep tracking > Awake detection).
Accelerometer data either from the phone or from the wearable won’t be affected.

Sonar sensor is a different story, but it will be the other way around - the sonar would keep the media sound level at max, so it would affect your podcast.
