Thanks for the links, @lenka-urbandroid ! Tried out SleepWear 5.23 (was running 5.16) to see if I can now get alarms to vibrate: it triggers once (almost as if it was for the alarm notification), but then falls silent until I turn on the screen.
Would I need to update the app on the phone to a custom version, as well? (friendly reminder I’m doing this because I need vibration to occur through the alarm stream, since these vibrations are not triggering with latest versions on the Play Store)
Other than that: any other setting I could be missing? I tested the alarm while not on the hibernation period, so that should be out of the equation. I also disabled “Pause app activity…” under “App Info”.
Ideally, get the BETA main Sleep app too.
Also, check, if the sensors permission is still granted on teh watch, it seems to be revoked for some of our users.
Well, the permissions were on, and now the app was updated on the phone as well (Dec 5th Beta APK used). But the same outcome was experienced. Now, not even the first vibration was recorded: only when I tilted the watch did it start vibrating (and stopped once the screen was off). Using tracking brings back the first vibration, but goes silent after that.
Did you ever have confirmation that the watch was working with SaA after these fixes?
Other users confirmed the vibrations worked for them. How long do you keep the alarm ringing?
At least a minute every attempt, and once that passes, I tilt the watch to turn on the screen and check that the alarm is reaching the watch (there’s the animated watch icon at the bottom, and the aforementioned single vibration is triggered).
Here’s the procedure:
I took the liberty of sending logs from the app through email some minutes ago. Can I help by sending some other logs?
@petr-urbandroid I just circled back to this and installed the 5.25 beta Wear OS APK on my OnePlus Watch 2, and so far, I’ve had two 100% successful triggers in testing alarms. Going to test a bit more and will report back, but this seems promising!
Bah, same problem @ravemir had in the other thread where, if I flick my wrist, the display goes off and the alarm no longer vibrates on the watch. If I wake the watch, I can see the notification icon but the full-screen display is gone.
