Hello all!
As I mentioned a while ago I had to switch from Sleep as Android to Fitbit for the tracking part: because I suffer from non 24 and my sleep is essentially free running, SaA had difficulties auto detecting my sleep sessions, and many times I actually fell asleep before I was able to manually start sleep tracking, thus missing a lot of sessions. So I decided to use Fitbit on my pixel watch or on my nest hub for tracking, and use Sleep as Android mostly for analytics with the data provided through Health Connect.
Now I do understand this detection issue is not an problem of SaA but it happens because of my irregular sleep schedule.
However, I’m having issues when trying to automatically sync data from Fitbit/Health Connect to SaA:
Detailed description of the problem: even though I have set up all permissions in health sync, and disabled battery optimization for all related apps, data are not able to be automatically synced from Fitbit/Health Connect to SaA. Every time I have to manually open the settings, go to services, and the tap the manual sync option on the bottom of the page for my sleep data to be successfully synced.
Steps to reproduce: sync with FitBit/Health Connect, check after a few sleep sessions if data is synced from Fitbit
Version of Sleep as Android: latest public release
I understand this might not be a bug since it’s kind of an “off-label” use of the app, in essence since I am not tracking with the SaA it cannot automatically sync my data on a daily basis. It’s also very easy to work around by just stopping the sync button one. I was just wondering if I am missing something to make auto sync work
Thank you!
