New alarm option: sleep goal + smart wakeup combined

The problem I’m trying to solve: a priori, the smart wake up period is designed to make sure you wake up before the alarm time, prioritising easy wake up at right sleep cycle, but not the sleep goal.

The “not before sleep goal” on the other hand breaks the smart wake up feature. Which means, if you haven’t achieved your sleep goal before the alarm, the alarm will be postponed until the sleep goal is reached, but then go off ignoring the smart period, which makes you wake up during wrong sleep cycle.

The solution: combine sleep goal and smart wake up. First, wait until the sleep goal is reached. Then, start tracking for the right moment to wake up.

Hi @Immortal, if the goal is reached during tracking, or during the smart period, the alarm will trigger in the light sleep phase. Alarm time is the last resort of waking you up.

The tracking cannot be started after the goal is reached, because the app knows if you reach the goal only if the tracking is in progress and detecting your sleep phases.

We do not support dynamic alarms, that would shift alarm times from your set alarm time based on the progress. It comes with too many technical issues and potential oversleeping of our users.
