Right now on the “Add Sleep” screen when manually adding a sleep session, you can only put the fall asleep time and the wake up time.
It would be nice to have more options on this screen, especially the option to add tags like #home, because as soon as you tap save, the entry gets synced with Google calendar, and now the entry in Google calendar is missing the tags.

Hello @Faelights … many thanks I’m putting this to my TODO…
@Faelights I’ve just been adding tags after I added sleep. Would adding them afterward then update on your Google calendar? I use Business Calendar (upgraded to paid version) which automatically syncs to my Google calendar. When I manually add sleep in SaA, it automatically adds it to both my calendar apps. I didn’t even notice my other sleep tracking was automatically added to my calendars, including all the tags even and a black bar showing sleep stages! What is the key that allows it, the #home tag?
Hi @raymillr, the tags will not update. Updating the uploaded content is surprisingly complicated, and we needed to keep the integration simple to maintain its reliability.
The manually added entry will be added, but when you edit it afterwards with new tags, they will not sync. We are sorry for the limitation.
The automatically added tag #home is based on the frequency - the most frequent location is considered as home. The app uses coarse location (± 5 km, 3,1m) to protect your privacy.
You can disable the location in Settings > Personalize > Privacy > Don’t store sleep location. The automatic tags can be also disabled completely in Settings > Personalize > Morning screen > Automatic sleep tagging.

@lenka-urbandroid Not a problem, thanks! That explains it clearly. I did some experimenting, and discovered basically what you said. As always, I appreciate your quick response.
Hi @raymillr thanks for the suggestion, incidentally I use the paid version of Business Calendar 2, but I found out (as you did) about the tags not updating.
The only “workaround” I found was to go to all the entries on my calendar that were missing tags, delete them, and then do a manual sync, but it’s quite a tedious process. I’ve also noticed that adding #home in this way does not actually add location coordinates to the calendar entry as the normal sleep entries do, but I suspect that’s another thing altogether.
Another feature I’d definitely like is a way to select and edit tags for multiple sleep entries at a time, right now you have to edit the tags for each entry individually… I think there’s already a request thread for this feature, but I’ve lost track of it.
It could help me address the missing manual entry tags, since I would just turn off automatic calendar sync and make it a regular chore to add the tags I need to the correct entries, then do a manual calendar sync at the end. I also wear a Samsung Watch 5 that catches my sleep activity, and I often want to mass-add tags to those entries, too.
BUT that’s a tangent. It would still be excellent to be able to just add the tags to the manual entries upfront, and I really appreciate the team adding it to their to-do list!
