Getting natural blue light, ideally from the sun, in the morning resets your circadian rhythm for the day. Bright light tells the pineal gland to stop producing melatonin. It also triggers cortisol production, which helps you feel awake and alert.
If somebody does set-up the smart light to more than 1 minute (which means they have time), sure, start it yellow, but it must end up cold light to wake you up. Or give us a a choice of the final color.
Yellow light makes body think it’s end of day, time to sleep, that’s why we set lights yellow in the evening! White light is a new start; snap out of slumber!
