Improved deep sleep function through bineural beats

According to the recent TED speech given by Dan Gartenberg (https://www.ted.com/talks/dan_gartenberg_the_brain_benefits_of_deep_sleep_and_how_to_get_more_of_it) it should be possible to improve sleep quality and thereby reduce the need for sleep. This is done by playing specific sounds during the deep sleep phase that seems a lot like bineural beats.

Sleep as Android allready has deep sleep detection and is able to play stereo sounds like bineural beats. I thus suggest you add one and one and make an alarm function that improve sleep by continually plays delta wave bineural beats when deep sleep is detected and stops when REM sleep starts.

I agree, I think this would be a tremendous addition to the app

I second this idea, would be really useful, was about to add a suggestion myself. I'm a long tie user of Sleep as Android and this would definitely be a useful addition.

Very good idea!
Please implement monaural beats for this feature as I don’t want to wear a headset all night long.

Although both types of tone are thought to be effective in entrainment therapy, monaural is a bit more flexible in that it doesn’t require the use of headphones in order to be effective.

Hi,

Is there any interest in this feature and is there any timeline that we are likely to see this rolled out in?

Thanks.
