So far the sunrise alarm with the builtin screen backlight enables you to have the screen brightness increasing over time to wake you up gently by your room getting brighter. However it still uses the default alarm screen which has a dark background and the red “dismiss” button etc. What I would like to have though would be a screen that starts being completely red coloured and while brightness increases it switches its colour from red via orange and yellow to white, mimicking a real sunrise. The current alarm screen could then be shown when e.g. tapping the screen once and switch back to the “sunrise” after some delay if no further action by the user takes place.
The advantage in this approach that I see is that the full potential of the screen to light up the room is used because it’s not limited by the background being black.
