I use IFTTT to have my hue lights simulate a sun rise before the alarm sound starts.
(In combination with apilio.io to check if I’m at home)
At the moment this action is triggered via the smart_period event.
It would be nice to have another event that is fired XX mins (adjustable instead of fixed 45 min) before the alarm starts if no smart wake up is active and XX mins before the smart wake up period if smart wake up is active.
It would probably be necessary to configure if this event is fired for every alarm.
The easy alternative would be to just use it for alarms with smart wake up so that it is still possible to have an alarm without the trigger fired.
