Hue Bridge Pro - Unable to Integrate

Detailed description of the problem:
After migrating to a Hue Bridge Pro, I’m unable to integrate Sleep as Android with Hue.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Hue Bridge Pro
  2. Try and connect and search for bridge
  3. No bridge will populate

Version of Sleep as Android:
Latest

Hi @Cactus, despite Philips assurance that the old API is still supported, the new Bridge does not communicate with the original API at all. This means all our work is lost and we would have to start from scratch to design a new integration with the new bridge (that might be again supported only temporarily).
So at the moment, the new bridge is not supported due to no support for the original libraries.
The integration should work via Google Home, so after Google lifts the limit of user count per app, it will work again via Google Home hub.

Understood. Thank you for the information

Is there any update on when that limit may be removed for Google Home?

Hi, the exact date is not known, but their docs say “by the end of 2025”. So hopefully, very soon.

@lenka-urbandroid has a new API been built for Hue. Trying to connect a Hue Bridge (not a Pro) and just get error codes, even when manually typing in the IP address. I also presume Google Home limits haven’t been lifted either as I can’t find it via this often either. Any updates you can share would be appreciated

Hi @Mythcolour,
We haven’t integrated the new Hue API just yet. Because it’s still unclear if this is their final API or if another breaking change (another non-backwards-compatible update) is around the corner, we’re holding off on rebuilding it from scratch for now.

Regarding Google Home, Google still hasn’t lifted the current limit. They’ve actually quietly removed the “by the end of 2025” launch window from their docs without announcing a new date, so we’re waiting on an update from their end as well.
