Hi there
I’ve been using SAA with a Polar H10 chest strap for several years now.
While I can see my Heart Rate through the night in the Daily Hypnogram, I’ve never been able to find a chart that shows trends. For example, I’d like to be able to track my lowest heart rate (I’m calling this my resting heart rate) over a period of time.
I know this information is not the same as HRV or HRV before awake.
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Cathy

Hi Cathy,
nice idea. I would also like to see a heart rate chart over several days/weeks/months.
@lenka-urbandroid May I ask you for a statement if there’s a chance to see this feature being implemented?
Hi, which metric would you like to see the most?
Average HR, min HR from the whole tracking, average HR in deep,… ?
Hi @Krumbieragratin42 and @thecat131 … many thanks for your feedback… I have added HR sleep score measure and HR history chart…
We use median HR from the entire night readings and for the score 100% interval is 35-55 … Somewhere over 69 the score starts to be indicate in red…
This is how it looks:
You can test this feature in our latest BETA version… which you can get from our website or from Play Store BETA channel…

Please let me know what you think…
Hi @lenka-urbandroid and @petr-urbandroid
thank you for your reply.
The screenshots you shared Petr look very promising to me. Only one remark: personally I would be more interested in the minimum heart rate from the whole tracking rather than the median HR.
Also I downloaded and installed the beta version you linked but couldn’t see the HR as an option in the charts view. Did I maybe do something wrong?
Edit: my current version now is 20241122 (230542) Premium BETA
Hello @Krumbieragratin42 many thanks… I did just publish an article about this new feature Heart rate as a new sleep score measure - Sleep as Android
Regarding minimum HR this would not work well. In general you want to avoid extremes as there will probably be just noise from some erroneous measurement.
Simply using a min(hr) would not work IMHO… What we could do is to use HR from deep sleep intervals, or HR from all stages without awake or something like this… but I think median is already coping very well with filtering extremes and this approach would only complicate the measure and make it hard to interpret…
If you are still interested in the min, you can watch it here on the sleep detail screen…
Alright, thanks for your opinion on that. I didn’t really think about the consequences of erroneous measurements.
@Krumbieragratin42 on the contrary many thanks for your feedback… I have though twice about this and as in many cases the HR measurement is already based on 10 min window with a median I think the effect of any false measurement will be low. So I decided to introduce a secondary measure “Low HR”… it is now defined really as minimum from the 10 min window aggregates… but would like to reserve the right to redefine it later … not sure how yet :)… Anyway you can now see both figures in the latest BETA … I have also added a long term chart for Low HR and I have added Tag based analysis for both you can check if let say meal before bed or alcohol consumption has any effect on your low of median HR…
