Hi +Petr I was wondering if you can reconsider adding this feature using the information from this link https://developer.android.com/guide/components/intents-common.html#PlaySearch

It's a matter of sending a MediaStore.INTENT_ACTION_MEDIA_PLAY_FROM_SEARCH intent with playlist focus and query from user input.
I used a similar approach with my own app, but integrating in Sleep as Android would save me from creating a silent alarm and register a broadcast receiver and so on.

Thank you from the amazing work! Love your app.

+Bernard, yes this is the only think I see we could do now…although not sure if Google will listen…

Everybody that wants this: send feedback to google music asking for an API so third party apps can make use of the playlists.

+Kate… sorry if does not seem Google is adding an API any time soon so that we could implement this, although we would really love to… we have Spotify integration, but their API also has some flaws so this feature is limited…

Can't wait for this to work. Currently I can see my playlists in Sleep as Android but they don't work at all as alarm sounds.

Is this still true today?

Hello, what does it do, plays the last playlist? You use a Play Music Automate plug-in for that? I'm wondering how they do this…

From Chance Stad on 2015/12/11 22:40:02 +0000

I created a flow within Automate to do this. It looks for a notification from Sleep As Android with the title "Alarm" and starts playing music when it appears. You also can't pause the music until the notification is gone. Works great.
I pushed it to the Automate community for anyone to download.

I do something similar in Automagic, but have had it be hit or miss. However I might be using the wrong trigger.

Plus it requres whole second app, which I only use for this reason…
