I’m using a pixel 9, and can’t connect my Garmin 265 Forerunner smart watch to the app. I’ve downloaded the app on my watch, on my pixel, and the subsidiary suggested apps from the Play store to connect it, but I just can’t. When I start a sleep it just can’t connect to it, and when I try to connect the sleep app from my watch to my phone, it just keeps saying “Connecting to Phone” forever. Worst part is it’s stuck on that screen so the only way for me to get out is to hard restart my watch.
Hi @Hanson, what version of the main app do you have at the moment?
For connection, you need the main app and Watch start app on the phone, and an addon on the watch.
When you start from the phone, and then start from the watch - what does happen?
Are all apps (Sleep, Watch starter, Connect apps, Bluetooth) excluded from optimizations?
Hi,
So the Android App is Version 20259620, the latest I can download.
Same with the watch app I downloaded through Garmin Connect - 20250804.
I also have the add-ons - although when I check using the link in Garmin connect, I can’t find it anymore.
When I start it on my phone, it just gives me that screen in my screenshot, it just doesn’t connect. When I start on my watch, it just says its trying to connect and it never does.
They’re all excluded from optimisation yes.
And if you start from the phone and then right away from the watch?
Have you uninstalled the addon from the phone?
