Galaxy Watch 5 Pro - Use WearOS or not?

Hi, I got the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. My question is: should I add it to SaA as a WearOS device, or as a Galaxy Watch? I’ve been using it as WearOS device so far but was wondering which way is better…
Thanks.

Wow, nobody has an answer, not even the app creator…

Hi @prokolyo, sorry for the late reply.
Galaxy Watch 5 wearable has a special option in the Settings > Sleep tracking > Wearables > Wearable. you need a companion app installed on the wearable, and the Wearable option configured to Samsunh Galaxy Watch.
The option “Wear OS” is only for Wear OS wearables, Galaxy Watches run the One UI Watch operating system.

Galaxy Watch 5 Pro runs on WearOS 4. The One UI thing is just a skin.
I’ve been running it with SAA as a WearOS device ever since I got it.
There is however the option to run it as a Galaxy Watch I guess (I never tried it). I am relying on your expertise to advise me which connection is better. FYI. Galaxy watches have switched to WearOS for several years now (since 2021 iirc).

Hi @prokolyo, the One UI Watch is a skin, but makes the operating system different from all other Wear OS-based wearables.
Does it mean you run pure Wear OS on your wearable, or One UI Watch 5?
