In case the Connection to the smartwatch is lost nothing is recorded, and nothing is transfered from the smartwatch to the phone later.
A buffer on the smartwatch (Android wear) would be fine.
Or a fallback to use the Smartphones sensor in case the Connection to the smartwatch is lost.
