I use the “Ideal sleep length” function a lot with awake detection and no delayed sleep tracking. It can take between 0-4 hours before I fall asleep so the delay doesn’t really work for me. The awake detection works well some nights and not at all others. This usually leads to me sleeping less than my ideal length.
However, I always sleep with a smart watch that tracks my pulse and I’ve noticed that my pulse is a lot better indicator to if I’ve fallen asleep or not. Thus, I would like to propose a new setting where you can delay sleep tracking until your pulse is below a certain threshold.
I assume everyone has different sleep pulses so it would be important that this number was customizable.
