Can You Play Spotify on Multiple Devices at the Same Time?

Can anyone play Spotify on multiple devices at the same time? I want to play music on my phone for myself, play music on MP3 for my mom. I didn’t buy the family plan cause I don’t use it very often.
Someone told me I can download Spotify to my devices so I tried it. It really works! I just use AudFree Spotify Downloader to export my needed songs.

Yes, you can play Spotify on multiple devices simultaneously, but there are limitations and workarounds depending on your subscription type:

Free Account: Spotify’s free tier doesn’t allow simultaneous streaming on multiple devices. If you start playing on one device, playback on another device with the same account will pause. However, you can use third-party tools like Macsome Spotify Downloader to download tracks as local files (e.g., MP3) and play them offline on multiple devices without restrictions.

Premium Individual: With a Premium Individual plan, you can stream on one device at a time online, but you can download music for offline playback on up to five devices. By enabling Offline Mode on one device, you can play downloaded tracks there while streaming online on another device with the same account. For example, you could stream on your phone while playing offline tracks on a tablet.

Premium Duo/Family: These plans allow multiple accounts (2 for Duo, up to 6 for Family) under one subscription, each capable of streaming simultaneously on different devices. Each account must be linked to the same address, and each user gets their own login, enabling independent playback without interruptions. For instance, with a Family plan, six people can stream different content on their own devices at once.
