My dog was tilting his head when I was testing the sonar indicating he is able to hear it.
Can this damage his hearing?
Hi, dogs can hear sonar, because their spectrum of hearing is much wider than humans. The volume level is at 40dB max (so lower than a normal speech). For them, it is like a constant white noise, similar to a washing machine, or a refrigerator.
The only animal that would probably have trouble with sonar are bats, as they use ultrasound for orientation in space.
