Hi @Amonitya, can you share a screenshot of the Goal progress, please?
Hi, can you screenshot the section “Daily” from the second screenshot?
This looks like the time has moved, but the goal is behind in the past few days. On the Total view, the orange line shows the goal progress in time - and the average (the accent color line) should ideally follow the orange line.
The daily view will tell you on which days the goal was met.
Are there a lot of red columns or empty columns?
The green columns are reaching the bedtime with very little surplus, while the red columns seem to add a lot to the deficit. It is possible the current balance is zero if there are a lot of very high red columns.
Like I said … it was at 26% then before the bedtime it suddenly went to zero …. It was very discouraging and frim what you seem to be saying it is not a bug but normal behavior, so I doubt I will try again
If the progress was 26% and it was followed by a new day with a high deficit (the red columns), the progress could have lowered due to the new entries with deficit.
What was the bedtime on those days with red columns?
I dunno.
But I get the feeling, you dont feel this is a bug … which means this is how you intended it to work.
I think that a bad day should not cancel out a good day. But if that is how you want it, fine … its your app …. I just wont use that feature anymore
The progress does not show how many days you met the goal criteria.
Sleep as Android uses a flexible “goal bank” system:
- Meeting your target: Keeps your progress right on track.
- Exceeding your target (e.g., going to bed early): Builds up a surplus (“savings”).
- Missing your target (e.g., staying up late): Creates a deficit (“borrowing minutes”).
If you stay late, you are lowering your progress. If you stay late a lot, the progress can be lowered a lot.
One bad day does not cancel good days. But if there are too many bad days with a lot of deficit, and too few days with very little surplus, the goal might not be met.
Ok …. Like I said, I disagree …. But its ok, I just wont use the goal feature
What would make the goal method work for you?
I would want whatever progress i did on the days where i did get to bed before/on time to stay ….. i only ever do week goal …. So basically as it is now, if i miss the first two days i might as well give up ….. but its ok …. I will just make my goals outside this app ….. if everyone is happy with how it is now, why should you change it for one person?
