Automatically turn on theater mode on Android Wear watch when sleep tracking

People using Android Wear invariably have to turn on theater mode in addition to starting sleep tracking. I do not know whether there is an API to turn on theater mode, but if there is, starting tracking should turn theater mode on, and stopping tracking should restore it to its previous value.

If anyone is looking for a workaround, I came up with a way to turn on Theater mode whenever SaA starts tracking, and disable it when the alarm goes off.

It was to install the Toggle Theatre Mode app per here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/64qitr/toggle_theater_mode_on_wear_20/

Then use the SaA events (start tracking, alarm) to trigger theater mode.

I figured the above apk was meant to be used on wear so I sideloaded it to my LG GWR running 2.0.

When I launched Sleep on the watch it loaded an app that appeared to be the full phone app (although it used the AW presentation).

Was the apk meant to be sideloaded to the phone or to the watch?

Also - double click hardware button to shortcut to theatre mode. Lastly, Asus ZenWatch 2 automatically enters theatre mode with their zenfit sleep tracking app. It is possible, just not obvious.

What about theatre mode and alarm? Is there a way to vibrate the watch when theatre mode is on?

Does it also work when sleep tracking is stopped manually or only with an alarm?
