Automatically enable Theatre Mode when entering Sleep Tracking mode on Wear devices (this is possible)

Ok so first off besides double-click the hardware button to enable theatre mode I’ve seen at least one implementation of this on the ZenWatch 2. The ZenFit sleep tracking app automatically enables Theatre Mode upon launching.

Further, I’ve found this blog post talking about how to set the global variable for theatre mode.

If Asus can do it, there’s most definitely an API call. Please re-visit this request.

+Martin yes exactly why do they do that, this is the question I'm asking with Android since Android 4.1

Really a joke that Android is removing such API features.
Same goes for Airplane mode… why they do that!?..

Yes… sorry this only works on rooted devices…

Tested on LG Urbane watch. No such luck; I suspect since my watch does not have a su binary, (the ADB hack requires it,) this will do nothing until I've rooted my watch. I will attempt this and post back. Thank you for the attempt.

I've also submitted a request for non-root support for this setting:

Looks like Reddit may have found a way… I’m curious how it’s done from the linked app…
