Are there no other suitable glasses/masks for mindroid out there?
Hi @Dino_Fancellu, there are no glasses/masks on the market with an open API for integrations.
If you have trouble contacting Happy Electronics support, try to contact Mr. Kolman directly at kolman@happy-electronics.eu.
Do you have issues with the Mindroid app we need to look at?
Well, I finally got my glasses after lots of poking. But they don’t work for me, with the mindroid app
I charged them up. When I turn them on the right side lights 2 blue leds.
I could see them with my Samsung s20+ and pair them. I went into minddroid, told it to connect, it did so.
Then when I started a session, it played it on the phone screen, with nothing on the sleep mask. When I stopped the session, mindroid showed it as disconnected.
When I tried it with my samsung tab s8, it couldn’t even see the mask on bluetooth!! Zilch. Of course nothing to do with mindroid, just odd and disappointing. Is this a known issue with the sleep mask v2?
I managed to get it to work with braincontrol, once! After that even when it said it paired, and showed a mac code, the mask still flashed the blue led
I know when it connects properly as both eye leds flash greenish. And the mask stops flashing the blue led.
Wow, I finally got mindroid to pair properly with the mask v2, eye leds flashed as they should.
Connecting seems very very janky.
Is this a known issue? Something that I can fix/improve.
Hi @Dino_Fancellu, the blue flashes usually happen if the device is not connected or when it disconnects. The first time pairing can be cumbersome (it takes some time before the connection bridge is established), but once the device is paired to the phone properly, it should connect each time with no trouble.
Do you have troubles with the connection after pairing the device?
Well, when it is PROPERLY paired, then it works fine
The trouble is that it is so janky.
Mindroid will often say it is connected, but show no MAC code, which means it is simply not connected. I also can see the blue led flashing, which shows the sleep mask is still looking to pair
Why does Mindroid claim it is connected, yet present no MAC code? Sounds like a bug to me.
I’ve never had such trouble getting a BT device to pair properly, a really bad UX
Hi, sorry for the late reply, the forum was down for a couple of days.
Could you please use the ≡ menu → Report a bug after the Mindroid says the glasses are connected, but they are not connected?
