I have AutomateIt Pro workin in my Android 4.4.4 rooted. There I have a rule with an airplane on/off working.
So, it is possible to enable it with Android version > 4.4.2.
Even a small percentage of rooted phones can represent tens of thousands of users in the case of “Sleep”.
All apps that I know, which use functions that rely on rooted phones, simply give a message warning you that this function will only work on rooted phones.
Thus, all users who have Android > 4.4.2 will know that if they want to use Airplane Mode automatically with Sleep app, they should let their phone rooted before.
I think it’s such a better solution than simply leave us with no solution.

It is already configured so. I'm with Android 4.4.4 rooted , but when I activate sleep tracing , I get a warning "can not set airplane mode , hold power button instead ".
