Please post any feature request, bugs or questions about Twilight here…
Hi @petr-urbandroid, I just upgraded to the Twilight Pro version. and I’m trying out various options with it on my Samsung s23 Ultra and Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro.
Q1. What does the “Civil sunset times” setting do, make sure the sunsets behave themselves? Does it have something to do with like the U.S. Daylight savings times (“Spring forward, Fallback”) like the upcoming set clocks back one hour coming up this November?
Q2. Does the Pro version add anything more to my watch?
BTW, per your suggestion, I watched and enjoyed your you tube video and downloaded the don’tkillmyapp app and getting ready to test it… Very impressive what you guys are doing!
Hi @raymillr, we hope all sunsets behave themselves
There are several types of “sunset times”, based on how far from the horizon the sun is.
The PRO version unlocks the extra features in the PRO section (More settings), allowing you to further fine-tune the transition of the filter or add an offset to the filter times.
Thank you, we are glad you like our work
Fascinating, these terms are all new to me. I take it then, it has nothing to do with location (I’m about 60 miles inland of the northeast coast of Florida and yes, I was affected by Hurricane Helene, and yes, I’ll probably be without electricity and water for 2-4 wks, with @ 25 very large trees down all around my house and car, with virtually no damage, in the providence of God!). Rather, does it relate to how long before sunrise SaA will consider it to be sunrise? Or am I still not getting it at all.?
The sunset/sunrise times are computed based on your very coarse location. Then, the app will adjust the filter start/end times based on the civil twilight timings.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope you and your loved ones are safe!
