Sleep deficit chart question

So I missed a night’s sleep, but the deficit chart did not seem to take that into consideration. So I added a 5 minute sleep to try and get it to recognize the 8 hour deficit. But the chart just shows no change in the total surplus for the 26th to 27th. Shouldn’t the total surplus go down? Am I not reading this right? Attaching screenshot of the chart after adding the 5 min sleep.

Hi @ShoalBear, if there is a complete gap in the data, the app assumes you forgot tracking and will count your current average as a substitution (so the gap won’t ruin your stats just because you forgot to start sleep tracking).

Adding 5 minutes will solve this.

Which day are we talking about? The last entry seems to lower current progress from approximately +2 to -2?

It was the 27th. But there was no change between the 26th and the 27th. It stayed the same. Just confusing to me.

And yes, the +2 to -2 is also confusing.

Just from the screenshot it looks like there was a major dip after 26th. Can you show a 7-days time frame?

The value went from +2 (current surplus) to -2 (current deficit).

OHHH…. Yeah…. That was the day I didn’t sleep. The 26th to 27th. So it shows the 27th for sleep data as a negative, since that should have been the day I woke up.

But it showed that flat line in the total surplus, the light purple in the background. Meanwhile, it shows that negative value for the 26th to 27th sleep cycle in the current surplus/deficit dark purple line.

Part of the issue is my narcolepsy. Sleep can be funky and I was in the midst of an extreme irregular sleep cycle. Here are the daily values for each of the days shown above.

8/20 6:50 -1:09

8/21 12:37 +4:37

8/22 12:23 +4:23

8/23 9:44 +1:44

8/24 no sleep

8/25 13:24 +5:24

8/26 11:37 +3:37

8/27 no sleep

8/28 14:41 +6:41

8/29 6:02 -1:57

8/30 8:15 +0:15

8/31 6:04 -1:55

9/1 9:31 +1:31

9/2 9:48 +1:48

Attaching the 7-days… but of course now it shows different times range and you can’t select a date range.

Also…. a very strange strange hypnogram today, and wierd time keeping. Should I start a new post??

Hi @ShoalBear, you can use the swipe movement to move the content back to the history.

OMG! I can’t believe I didn’t think about that! LOL

I think I was so focused on getting the info to you, my mind stopped.

It doesn’t show the shaded part if you swipe back. But the prior screenshot shows it.

Hi @ShoalBear, if we are talking about the night ending on the 27th, it looks like the low duration made a huge dip from the surplus to the deficit. It looks like the size of the dip is approximately 8 hours. And it recovered the next day. Is this what happened?
