It would be great if this could be integrated with the settings, not just alarms. For ex. I'm on call as a physician every third week x 7 days, on those days my alarm time is different, I'm woken/up frequently at night, but most importantly, I cannot put my phone on do not disturb & airplane mode bc I take calls overnight. However the next 14 days I have the same alarm daily and want auto DND & airplane mode. As it is I have to constantly change my settings & alarms. Could theoretically pull call calendar from Google or save on- and off- call as 2 profiles or alternating sleep schedules.

Maybe it's possible to extract the next day shift from the calendar to activate the right alarm?

The system I work is irregular, resp. It repeats every 4 weeks. One week I begin 3 times at 6 am, the other only 2 times.
Sometimes I work at weekend, sometimes not.

I work 24/48 (firefighter/emt 24 hours on and 48 hours off). A non weekly alarm would be great or if you can make one where you can set the repeat to every so many days (3) instead of specific day of the week. That would be great.

+Guy Rowswell, many thanks for the feedback on this feature. The start day is based on your locale settings. If you use locale US tak it is probably Sunday, otherwise it is Monday…

I see this has been added to the latest major release. Is it possible to add an option to change the start day of the week? I haven't managed to find it in the settings anywhere.
I.e.: my week starts on a Monday as opposed to the current setup of Sunday

For example I work 3 Tuesdays in a row at 12 and then the forth one at 9. So the way i set this up in Google calendar is I make 3 individual appointments (12pm) to start a week from each other and repeat every week. And the the forth appointment I set for 9am, also to repeat every week. So these 4 appointments cover all my Tuesdays and I don't have to do anything about them.

And then I work one Saturday a month, so I set one appointment for Saturday and make it repeat every four weeks.

And the last thing is, I work random Sundays. So I set these appointments using specific dates.

I think the two important options to cover everyone's needs would be :

  • set dates for start of alarm
  • set frequency of repeats

Weekly frequency of alarms would be great, setting that number like in Google calendar (2 for every two weeks, 4 for every 4 weeks).

Every N day repetition will be great also. Say I run every second day and want to have alarm for it.
Thanks!

Bi weekly weekends with the kids at home and weekends without kids at home.

Everyother week there is a fixed day I need to start working 2 hours early.

In my case i would use more weekly and bi-weekly alarms, because one week i work on Friday and on Wednesday evening and the other week i work Wednesday morning instead of the evening and i don't work on Friday. Sometimes i work on Sunday and i am free for 2 days this changes every week.

In Russia there are 2 main types of shift works:

  1. A day (24 h) - work, 3 days - rest and so on
  2. 2 days (11 h) - work, 2 days - rest.

Hope you can implement it:-)

First of all, sorry for my bad english, i`m not native to it.

For my case is quite easy, you can just do a "Every x days", so i would set two sets of alarms each one set for "every 4 days".

I work a at police (prison sentinel) and we have two shifts. 12 (daytime) h working x 24h free, 12 (night) x 48

On daytime shift i need only the morning alarm (6 a.m.) to woke and go to prison. So I would set an alarm to 6 am "every 4 days".
At night shift i would set two alarms, to wake me at 10pm and 4am "every 4 days". This would cover all my usage.

I hope that this is what you expected.

If this means alarms repeating every x days, I support this idea. Please introduce this. Thanks in advance.

I work a 48 on 96 off schedule so ever six days I start a new set. I need to get up early the day I go to work at, the day I’m on shift and the day I’m getting off then can wake up later the other three days. It would be great if you could determine your own week legth and or a every x number of days.
